Based in Brig. Gen. Benito Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-lapu City, the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing is one of the primary units of the Philippine Air Force.
It is tasked with the conduct heli-lift operations in support to ground units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Philippine National Police. It also supports nation-building activities of various Government Offices and Agencies, as well as Non-Government Organizations.
Its mission is accomplished using the venerable UH-1H aircraft, which are deployed throughout the archipelago.
